EPA jobs are up and down, unlike most markets right now that are just down. You need to be able to take the time to check out the different opportunities that you have and get your new career started on the right foot. There are so many different things to think about, but the only thing that matters is that you take the time to focus on finding the job that suits you and making sure that you can prove that you’re the right person for the job.
EPA jobs are actually a hot topic right now because of all of the focus on the environment. People who were already interested in environmental careers are now seeking them out because they want to help with the green movement and saving the planet. If you’re recently unemployed, you will have to be careful of this because you will likely be competing for jobs against some fresh talent that might get in your way. While some companies do prefer hiring those with experience and time in the industry, other companies like to hire fresh faces so that they can train them accordingly instead of trying to re-train people who are already set in their ways.
Keep your EPA CE current, because this is what could separate you from the masses. Even though you’re not new to the industry, you can prove that your education is current and that you have the latest training, which might be more valuable than someone fresh out of college. It doesn’t matter what kind of job you’re looking for within the environmental services world because the issues are basically the same. You need to prove that you’re the best person for the job, and you will need your current CE and certification to help you make that case.
Online courses can be a great way to keep your CE current without the huge expense that many are used to. You don’t have a lot of money to spend right now, which is why online courses are a great solution for your needs. They are more affordable, and they are also convenient and more flexible than attending a course or seminar that you have to travel to. In the end, it all comes down to finding the opportunities that ARE out there and then making your case for why you are the best person for the job. With the right tools in hand, it should be a simple quest.
