Industrial Skills
The U.S. is experiencing a recession like never before. We might not be rationing food like they did during the great depression, but we’re certainly not making millions like many other countries are. There is already so much job loss going on, and with foreign countries improving their industrial skills there is no doubt that more job loss will soon follow because of the affordability and accessibility of outsourcing industrial jobs. It’s nice to think that companies would want to save their own workers but they really need to focus on saving their business, which means cutting costs, which eventually leads to outsourcing.
What is the country going to do in order to bounce back from this terrible recession if all the jobs are being sent overseas? With countries like India offering short-term training with 100% employment guarantees, the U.S. can’t compete right now. Companies are trying to stay strong and employees are trying to keep their jobs, but it’s hard when the competition is so steep. There is certainly nothing wrong with outsourcing jobs, but some of them have to stay here so that people have places to work. Otherwise, we’ll have a country that goes down the drain for good because there are no jobs, which means there is no spending, which means that everyone is broke, out of work, and creating more chaos for the economy.
This might be a bit drastic, but it is seriously a consideration that people need to think about when it comes to finding jobs and figuring out how to get the economy back on its feet. While Americans are sitting around waiting for things to get better, other countries are making things happen and putting themselves in a position to get the jobs that once were given to Americans because they can do the same high quality work for pennies on the dollar because of the going exchange rate.
When it comes to outsourcing, there is nothing wrong with getting help where you need it. However, if industrial skills are being acquired by other countries with the intent of guaranteeing 100% employment, that work has to come from somewhere. If the country doesn’t pick itself back up soon, many companies will be giving away their livelihood to someone who can handle it, rather than waiting for their own country to help them out. It’s a tough world to live in, but there really isn’t much that anyone can do.
